I’m Yemina, a professional makeup artist in Edmonton who believes beauty is to be celebrated across all complexions. To me makeup reflects identity rather than conformity. I specialize in bridal makeup, event glam, and complexion-focused artistry designed to enhance natural radiance while honoring women of color’s individuality. Each makeup application is approached as a new canvas detailed, elegant, and personal.

My mother, Rosine, brings over two decades of expertise as a hairstylist for textured and multicultural hair. Her artistry blends precision, care, and creativity — crafting timeless, camera-ready styles that last through every moment of the day.

Together, we founded Maison Melanin to redefine beauty standards and create a calm, luxurious space where women of color are celebrated. Our goal is to deliver a seamless bridal and event beauty experience that feels as personal as it is professional.
